This blog post marks something special for me – and hopefully for you too. After years of working in education, designing courses, and sharing ideas with colleagues, I felt it was time to create a space that feels truly ours. A space not just to talk about pedagogy, technology, and education, but to question it, laugh about it, and most importantly, connect as a community.
That’s how Pedagogías con Sal y Limón came to life.
This podcast is still in its infancy – and that’s exactly why I wanted to share this with you now. We’re exploring, experimenting, and yes, learning how to make this space as real and fresh as possible. From figuring out how to record video as well as audio, to working with sound experts to get that authentic Mexican sobremesa vibe, this has been a creative process full of small victories and new ideas.
But more than a podcast, this is about building a community. One that welcomes all educators, from those just starting to those who have decades of stories to tell. I’ve always believed that learning happens best when we share, when we question, and when we do it together. That’s the heart of this project.
You might remember that back in 2019, I hosted Conversemos, a podcast that helped me connect with others during the early days of the pandemic. That experience stayed with me – the power of conversation, of community. But now, with Pedagogías con Sal y Limón, I wanted something that’s not tied to a company or institution. I wanted something that reflects our identity – Mexican, critical, warm, and a little bit spicy.
So, why this blog post? Because I want you to be part of this from the start. I want to share the journey, not just the polished product. We’re testing topics like: Are great teachers born or made? Does being a good teacher depend on whether you’re online or in-person? How does technology really shape what we do in education? And we’re also drawing inspiration from the courses we’re developing for TecNM, making sure this stays grounded in real, lived teaching experiences.
Pedagogías con Sal y Limón is a space for all of us. To rethink education, to hear voices that are often left out, and to laugh while we’re at it. This blog will be where I share behind-the-scenes stories, upcoming topics, and reflections on what we’re learning as we go.
We’re not just launching a podcast, we’re building a home for honest, lively, and meaningful conversations about education.
